I love kettlebell sport, as much as I love martial arts. I feel there is a lot both sports have in common, not just from a physical/athletic standpoint, but from a mental aspect as well. In fact, it’s the mental game that has the most correlation and carry-over, between both sports. In preparation for competing [...]

It’s no secret that I am a fan of mixed martial arts. Actually, I’m a little more than a fan. However, that’s beside the point. I’m even more of a fan of folks who bust their you-know-what on a daily basis, without worrying about being rewarded for it, yet eventually they are. Professional MMA fighter, [...]

Finding quality (but gutter) Underground Strength Gyms in Houston has been quite a task for yours truly. However, my good friend, Mike House has finally open his underground strength facility, House Strength Camp, in Southwest Houston. Recently, I had the opportunity to stop by Mike’s new spot, where we talked shop about training underground style, [...]

This past weekend, wifey & I took an impromptu weekend trip to our new 2nd home, Austin, TX. I love to go there to just clear my head, or get some inspiration from one of the fittest/healthiest cities in America. This particular weekend did not disappoint. Along with all of the great places to eat [...]

Recently, my man Zach Even-Esh of http://budurl.com/uscoach, explained the benefits of getting your “tire battle” on, when training with a partner or team. This is one of the many ways you can add variety to your training, have some fun, and get hella strong. Also, by switching your feet though out the drill, you can [...]

I think a lot of folks underestimate the power of having a strong, crushing grip. Most importantly, having a strong grip can pay big dividends with lifting more weight, or carrying more odd everyday objects. Heck, I realized the benefits of having a strong sturdy grip just the other day, at the airport. By having [...]

In this new video, you’ll see another Diesel Crew original, Kettlebell Rocks. They are named rocks because you have to remain rigid and unwavering during the partner engagement. This drill is excellent for fighters, athletes, and even the everyday trainer who just want a stronger core, or add some variety to their training arsenal. Instructions: [...]
