New Warrior Training presents: “A Few Minutes With A Girevik: Heidi Toy” pt.1

During the past few years, Heidi Toy has become a familiar face within the world of kettlebell sport. Earlier in 2011, Heidi decided to take her training in kettlebell sport to the next level, once she traveled to the origin of the kettlebell and GS (Girevoy Sport), Russia, and trained with top sought-after coach (and multi-time kettlebell world champion and Honorary Master of Sport), Sergey Rudnev. To say that Heidi’s tutelage under Coach Rudnev has been life-changing, is an understatement.

During a recent business trip to the Lone Star State, Heidi took a moment to stop by the New Warrior Nation, and share her story in the world in Kettlebell Sport.

In part 1 of this 2 part interview, Heidi also shares her thoughts on where the culture of kettlebell training is today, and what it will take to help kettlebell training to become more available to the masses.

What do you think about kettlebell training, as well as the sport of kettlebells? Be sure to drop your comments below. We’d love to hear from you.
